Potty Training Books For Toddlers

Potty training books are very helpful for parents to introduce our toddlers to the concept of potty training.

These books usually:

  • Piques their interest in potties
  • Explain what potties are for
  • Encourage them to ditch their diapers
  • Introduces them to underwear
  • Makes them feel grown up

Otherwise it is a headache for parents. You just can’t force it. It is a process that our children needs to figure out on their own.

Potty Training in 3 Days: The Step-by-Step Plan for a Clean Break from Dirty Diapers

When my son was 1.5 years old, we tried to toilet train him. But he would pee all over the place without his diaper on. We figured that maybe he wasn’t ready for it yet.

So when he is about 2 years old, we introduce him to potty training picture books.

And yes, he is interested in those books!

We will go through the picture books and explain to him what is going on in the books.

Some books have pictures of little boys and girls which they can relate to.

I will also show him how I pee and poo. (they will hunt you down to the toilet!)

My boy showed his first signs of potty training readiness when he dislikes pooing in his diapers. And we slowly train from there.

These children’s books about potty training are good starters.
